Ok, so I'm on a commenting roll, but the kids are 1. asleep in a cot, 2. asleep in front of ABC kids and my TV show hasn't started yet so I'm taking the moment!
In reference to creative living, I really really like and like to live by the bit in Genesis (19)where God brought the animals to Adam to see what he would name them. Ie. he didn't know what Adam would name them, and was interested to see what Adam as a creation with free will and creativity in the image of God would do. Adam didn't say "what do you want me to call them God?" I know that lots of people have issues where they have to give control of their lives to God all the time, but for me because of my life journey and who I am, when I pray "Here I am God, a blank page for you to use etc" God seems to reply "yeah thanks Nic, in response to that I've given you the paint and brushes so do you think you could get on and paint something?"

Anyway, that's the metaphor/image etc I use in my relationship with God re. Creativity.
